Your GP can help you stay independent for longer and to live with dignity. We can help with issues such as incontinence, mobility, falls, or declining memory. Many assessments, treatments and medicines for older people are subsidised by the government. Just ask your GP.
We provide travel vaccinations for patients. Some vaccines are available on site, and we charge a fee for these, while others may require a prescription. Inoculations are given by our practice nurse, who is a registered immunisation nurse.
For patient convenience, we also have Pathology Services, provided by St Vincent’s Pathology.
Pathology collectors are highly trained professionals and experts in dealing with families and young children to ensure a stress-free experience.
Our patients have access to Allied Health professionals on-site by appointment. We have a Dentist, Dental Prosthetist and Dental Laboratory, Psychologist, Physiotherapist, Podiatrist, Naturopath, Dietitian and an Audiologist. We are negotiating with others to provide on-site services to our patients.
Dr Narpreet Kaur provides a comprehensive range of dental services, including restorative, preventative, crown & bridge, endodontic and cosmetic. Our dentist participates in the Medicare Child Dental Benefit Schedule voucher scheme, with no out-of-pocket charges for eligible patients.
Mr Gabriel Guler, our principal prosthetist is an award-winning, advanced dental technician with over 15 years of experience. He and his team produce quality appliances in the on-site laboratory.
Ms Ipek Sumertas has experience across a broad spectrum of situations and environments as a psychologist, teacher and youth justice counsellor. Her extensive experience, empathy and ability to connect with her patients have enabled her to deliver effective treatments with optimal outcomes.
Our psychologist accepts referrals via Mental Health Care Plans under Medicare with a modest out-of-pocket cost. Details available at reception.
Ms Huong Nguyen is a skilled practitioner with many years’ experience, a loyal patient following, and has had great success with her treatments. She treats private, TAC and WorkCover patients and accepts referrals via Chronic Disease Management Plans under Medicare, with a modest out-of-pocket cost. Details available at reception.
Ms Cagla Ekinci is a skilled podiatrist who provides comprehensive foot care for her patients including orthotics and gait alignment and accepts referrals via Chronic Disease Management Plans under Medicare, with a modest out-of-pocket cost. Details available at reception.
Ms Munise Bozkurt provides a realistic approach to healthy lifestyle choices. She is a well regarded, experienced practitioner and accepts referrals via Chronic Disease Management Plans under Medicare with a modest out-of-pocket cost. Details available at reception.
Apex Hearing, an accredited Audiology service, provides free hearing tests and aids for eligible Pensioners, Veterans and WorkSafe clients. Audiologists perform hearing and Tinnitus assessments for all ages, including children from the age of 3.
Apex specialises in pre-employment, aviation and industrial hearing tests and supplies the most technologically advanced appliances, including custom-made ear plugs for noise protection, swimming, musicians and Police communication earpieces.
Childhood immunisations are provided free of charge for eligible Australian residents and visitors eligible for reciprocal Medicare benefits. Other patients will need to pay for vaccines. Prices are available at reception.
Flu vaccinations are free of charge to eligible patients over the age of 65 or those with chronic illnesses. Other patients will need to pay for the flu vaccine, and prices are available at reception.
Covid-19 vaccinations are government funded and free to all patients.
Medicare Bulk Billing is available for all medical patients, including those who access our Locum Service after hours.
Private patients, such as overseas visitors, are also billed at the Schedule Fee rate, but we require them to settle their account after visiting the doctor.
Completion of patient forms, such as employer medical assessments, insurance forms, Centrelink forms, etc, which do not attract a Medicare benefit are billed privately and patients are required to pay for this service. A sign outlining the cost of the more commonly used forms is displayed at Reception.
Iron Infusions are also billed privately. Full details of the costs and clinical requirements are available at reception.
Fees of Allied Health Practitioners such as dentists, psychologists and others are payable on the day of service.
Those patients with private health insurance will be processed through HICAPS which pays the fund benefit and the patient needs to pay only the outstanding ‘gap’ amount.
Those patients who are eligible for a Care Plan due to chronic illness will be bulk billed under Medicare by Allied Health Practitioners for the allowed number of visits on the Care Plan. Our Practitioners charge a modest out-of-pocket cost.
Dental Treatment is not available as part of a Care Plan – there are no Medicare benefits for dental services, and costs incurred for dental treatment must be paid at time of service. However, Medicare provides limited benefits under the Child Dental Benefit Schedule for children aged under 17. The Medicare Child Dental Benefit Voucher is valued at $1,013 for eligible persons.
